Kick start your career and open a world of endless opportunities with the sky as the limit

If you are a Medical Doctor (MD) specialised in dermatology you now have the opportunity of a lifetime. LEO Pharma has set out to become the worlds preferred dermatology care partner. A vital part of this is founded within our ability to build an unparalleled understanding of skin diseases as well as patient needs. And that is why we need you!

As part of a highly skilled and dedicated team of MDs and scientists in Translational Medicine you will contribute to take us to a new level of disease and patient understanding. You will get the opportunity to unfold all of your clinical and research experience, develop your skills within drug development and make a positive difference for people with skin diseases all over the world. At the same time you will experience a new world of career opportunities.

Deliver medical and scientific input on dermatological diseases in various project teams

Your overall objective is to contribute to the development of new drugs and treatments for people with skin diseases. You will support the organisation with medical and scientific input on dermatological diseases for further developing our project pipeline and establishing new indications. You will unfold your skills in various project teams in a role as their Medical Expert. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Act as medical lead for Translational Medicine for disease indication development programmes

  • Support clinical trials in early clinical development (Clinical Proof of Concept plans and clinical trials ranging from First in Human to Proof of Concept phase 2a trials)

  • Analyse, interpret and report on data from clinical trials and literature

  • Provide insight and ideas to support new innovations across LEO Pharma

  • Advise and communicate internally and externally as a representative of Translational Medicine

  • Represent Translational Medicine at interactions with regulatory health authorities, external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Subject Matter Experts

While working in early stage clinical trials you will get the chance to break new land and move the boundaries of what is possible today. The area of new indications will primarily be within inflammatory skin disease and rare diseases. You can expect to travel 20-30 days per year to meet colleagues and partners.

Dermatology expertise and research experience

You are a specialist in clinical dermatology with documented research experience and an interest in developing your understanding of drug development, disease understanding and the pharmaceutical industry. Part of this is your understanding of being part of a business where commercial concerns are part of everyday life. As such, you must thrive in an environment with moving targets and changes of priorities.

If you bring a PhD or doctoral thesis within a related area it is a benefit but no a prerequisite for applying. The same goes for experience within clinical trial planning and/or interactions with regulatory health authorities.

On the personal level you are known for your overview and attention to details as well as your dedication for reaching ambitious goals. As you will create results as part of project teams you must be a genuine team player and have the ability to make yourself understood by people without your medical know how.

Your new team

You will join a well-functioning team of 12 motivated and highly skilled colleagues. We are responsible for the early clinical development pipeline programmes up to clinical Proof of Concept (phase 2a) including exploratory clinical research activities involving development of biomarkers, imaging techniques; patient reported outcome measures, and pharmacokinetics. We work in cross-functional teams and your clinical expertise in dermatology is used broadly in the organisation.

We look forward to receiving your application.
