The position will report to the I&I Medical Affairs WEC Lead. You will be a core member of the I&I Medical Affairs WEC Leadership Team and will collaborate closely with the Medical Affairs sub-cluster lead FIN/SWE


Leadership DK&NO role

Leadership of the country I&I medical affairs team in DK&NO

Accountability for Medical Plans and deliverables for I&I in this region aligned with key strategies, deliverables and communication in the region

Management of I&I medical resources and budget in this region

Identification and execution of regional opportunities for growth and improved efficiencies through best practices and other initiatives within the region

Medical Leadership in the hub to build a cohesive regional medical community

Provision of regional medical support to regulatory issues, product labeling, product maintenance and defense, medical information, drug safety, outcomes research and other related functions in the medical department as appropriate

To develop and maintain ongoing cross-functional working relationships with Pfizer colleagues within the in-country, global organization

People management and development of the direct reports


Senior Medical Manager role (rheumatology)

The I&I Medical Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to drive value growth within the Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group Denmark, using a scientific approach and taking all medical and regulatory aspects into account for assigned products within assigned TAs.

Internally, he/she is the TA clinical and scientific expert taking care of internal education and training, scientific support for Sales and Marketing and H&V, as well as Regulatory, Safety and any other group needing advice. He/she will perform the scientific review of materials and communications within the TA. The MA will also contribute within the internal medical group in Pfizer, both locally and globally.

Externally, he/she will manage scientific communications and cooperation with the national medical community within the TA. The MA will also support other groups within Pfizer in external interactions when needed and within local regulations and Pfizer SOPs.




Operative responsibilities within Rheumatology in Medical affairs in DK

Build peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions to foster Pfizers efforts to establish and maintain its therapeutic leadership position.

Develop, champion and leverage research collaborations and opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.

Identify and foster constructive, cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders to create and leverage business opportunities.

Prepare medical strategic plans based on identified needs, taking into account product life cycle and providing budgeting of scientific projects.

Develop and maintain a strong network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) within the assigned TA.

Medically responsible for assigned Pfizer products in Denmark.

Disseminate medical information concerning the products of responsibility and the medical implications for current practices.

Timely and resource-efficiently provide accurate and medically sound responses to enquiries by the medical society and other stakeholders concerning products within her/his responsibility, with optimal usage of Medical Information resources.

Ensure that locally produced marketing material is medically relevant as well as compliant with regulatory requirements.

In collaboration with regulatory department ensure correct wording in SPC and other documents.

Provide medical expertise for formulary applications, HTA assessments and tender processes.

  • Medical Doctor

  • Experience within the field of Inflammation and Immunology. Board certification in Rheumatology and PhD within rheumatology would be a plus

  • Experience within Pharma Industry and Medical Affairs a plus

  • Clinical trial or research experience

  • Excellent communication and teaching skills

  • Excellent social and inter-personal skills

  • Performance driven with professional attitude

  • Strong team-work attention and ability

  • Independence and ability to work in an international setting in a matrix organization

  • Fluent in English and understand Danish

  • Leadership experience (formally or informally)
